Pro Helvetia launched the call for applications for RESIDENCIES in 2026 aimed at artists and cultural practitioners from Switzerland and from the Arab region.
The aim of the residencies is to gain inspiration, establish networks, work on projects and to explore new collaborations.
Pro Helvetia offers accommodation, travel costs, a daily allowance, local coaching, and on request a studio space and a contribution to production costs. Residencies last up to 3 months.
Artists and cultural practitioners in the fields of Design, Interactive Media, Literature (including poetry, comics, children/youth literature), Music and Audio Art (including podcasts), Performing Arts, Visual Arts (including Architecture), as well as those with a multi-disciplinary focus, are eligible to apply.
Artists and cultural practitioners from Switzerland can apply for residencies in one of the countries in the Arab region covered by Pro Helvetia Cairo, while artists and cultural practitioners active and based in Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Palestine, Tunisia, and the United Arab Emirates can apply for residencies in Switzerland.
Deadline to apply: 1 March 2025.
