As summer slowly draws to an end and our fall residents are taking their bearings, we are pleased to invite you to a screening of the film Garden Amidst the Flame by Natasha Tontey here at La Becque on Tuesday, September 20 at 7pm. To spend a little time together, a drink will be served before the screening starting at 6:30pm. We hope to see many of you!

Die preisgekrönte Kinder- und Jugendbuchautorin Tamara Bach (D) (“Marsmädchen”, “Vierzehn”, “Das Pferd ist ein Hund”) ist Residentin im Atelier Müllerhaus. Für die nächsten drei Monate lebt sie also in Lenzburg, um zu schreiben und zu arbeiten. Höchste Zeit, sie und ihr buntes Werk vorzustellen!

We are happy to invite you to our Open Studio with Lois Alexander:

Lois is a choreographer and dancer living in Berlin, Germany and our guest artist from July to September 2022, selected by Rote Fabrik jury. At the center of her artistic practice is dance, along with the body’s necessity to transform, refigure and embody pluralistic identities.
Yeye is a deep reckoning of a modern era that is entangled with colonial histories, mothers and the ocean. What are the temporalities of a racialized body, one that is marked by visible and invisible wounds? What can be healing? Yeye explores memory, traces and notions of a motherland, moving through different levels of video, text and performance.

The open studio will show excerpts of her research in the process of staging the work for a live dance performance.
Yeye will be presented in Sophiensaele Berlin in October 2022. More Info and tickets
