Ein Jahr gemeinsames Denken, drei Wochen Akademie, ein Festivaltag am Brünig. BOLSOM ist ein Festival für Kunst und Wissenschaft und ein Prozess, der weit vor dem Festival beginnt.
Für die Ausgabe 2026 suchen wir acht Kunst- und Wissenschaffende, die mit ihrer eigenen Praxis kommen und Lust auf Zusammenarbeit und Kunst mit Substanz haben. Du bewirbst dich als Einzelperson. Direkt nach Ende der Ausschreibung bilden wir daraus vier inter-trans-symdisziplinäre Duos.
Ab diesem Moment arbeitet ihr zusammen: virtuell, im Austausch auf Distanz oder auch vor Ort am Brünig. Fragen werden geteilt, Ideen erprobt, Verbindungen geknüpft.
Ein zentrales Gefäss bildet die BOLSOM Akademie:
Bis zu drei Wochen vor dem Festival steht euch das Haus am Brünig als Arbeits-, Denk- und Lebensort offen. Hier wird konzentriert gearbeitet, diskutiert, verworfen und verdichtet, ohne Produktionsdruck, mit Zeit, Raum und Fokus. Es wird nicht erwartet, dass du drei Wochen hier sein musst, aber du kannst, wenn du willst.
Am 21. November 2026 zeigen die vier Duos ihre Arbeiten beim BOLSOM Festival: bspw. als Performance, Installation, Lecture, Konzert, Text oder hybride Form. Das Festival verstehen wir als Resonanzraum, kein Endpunkt.

One year of shared thinking, three weeks of academy, one festival day at the Brünig. BOLSOM is a festival for art and science — and a process that begins long before the festival itself.
For the 2026 edition, we are looking for eight artists and researchers who come with their own practice and a genuine interest in collaboration and substanceful art. You apply as an individual. Immediately after the application deadline, we form four inter-trans-sym-disciplinary duos.
From that moment on, you work together:
virtually, in exchange at a distance, or on site at the Brünig. Questions are shared, ideas tested, connections formed.
A central vessel of the process is the BOLSOM Academy:
Up to three weeks before the festival, the house at the Brünig is open to you as a place to work, think, and live. This is where focused work takes place — discussing, discarding, reshaping, and condensing — without production pressure, but with time, space, and attention. You don’t have to be here for three weeks of course.
On 21 November 2026, the four duos present their work at the BOLSOM Festival — for example as a performance, installation, lecture, concert, text, or hybrid form. The festival is a space of resonance, not an endpoint.
