INVITATION TO THE EXHIBITION AT ARTSTÜBLI
The exhibition „Wider than me“ at Artstübli brings together four positions of artists from Mulhouse, Oaxaca and New York, who traveled around the world and the region of Basel as part of the Atelier Mondial residency program. All four artists deal in very different ways with the question of how we can transcend our current circumstances, how we can transcend the supposed limitations of our time, and how art can describe and comment on this. How can we gain a new relationship to nature, of which we have always been a part, how can we preserve it? How can we transform the categories of gender, sexuality and ethnicity into something greater that unites us? Which paths lead out of the expectations of traditional family ties and where can the finite touch the infinite?

Vernissage with the performance “Le beau geste” by Sergio Chavez Ahuate on 28.08. at 7.07 pm. We cordially invite you to the opening from 6 pm.


During the Kunsttage Basel there will be guided tours with the artists
on 30.08., 31.08. and 1.09., always from 2 pm to 3 pm.
