Gastatelier

Die Fabrik und die Stadt Burgdorf betreiben in der Fabrik ein Gastatelier von 3 Monaten (Juni, Juli, August) für bildende Künstler:innen aus dem Ausland. Zur Verfügung steht ein grossräumiges Wohnatelier sowie eine offene Werkhalle als Atelier. Eingeschlossen ist ein monatlicher Betrag von 2’000 CHF sowie eine Beteiligung an den Reisekosten. Die Ausschreibung wird jeweils im Herbst hier (link zu open call auf webseite) publiziert.

Artist in Residence
Fabrik and the City of Burgdorf are jointly running an artist-in-residence program of 3 months (June, July, August) for visual artists from abroad. The space is a combined living and working area and the possibility to use a large open space in the factory hall. Included is a monthly allowance of 2’000 CHF and a contribution to travel expenses. With the Residenza Lumnezia project, we want to offer the opportunity for artists to retreat for their work and engage with local themes. You will bring to life for an old monastery-house month in spring together with 6 –10 artists.
The Residenza Lumnezia provides the living and working spaces for the duration of the stay. The artists are responsible for covering the cost of travel, meals and materials. 
The application window is open from 15 September to 25 October
2026. We are looking for location-based projects of any form and discipline (fine arts, music, photography, painting, illustration, architecture, film, science, crafts, etc.) that can be implemented within the framework of the residency and the available infrastructure. Interdisciplinary projects and small collectives are also welcome. The application should include a project idea (1-3 pages), a CV and a portfolio of the artists. The documents are to be sent as PDF-files by e-mail to  residenza@casadangel.ch  (if the files are too large, by download link).
